1st Bike Trip...Anderson Island, WA-- 2008

Start of the trip began at the house where we suited up and rode our bikes (Maol in his bike carriage) to the ferry in Steilacoome.

View from the ferry was so beautiful!  Mt. Ranier loomed in the distance and the day was clear and sunny!  The ferry ride took a little over 20 minutes and then we were off on our bikes again!

Looking in the rocks for crabs on Anderson Island!  The barnacles showed us how high the tide gets, and the clams were spitting in the sand.

We found a fresh water lake to take a dip in on the island, and Maol took a long nap while we enjoyed the day!  All together we rode about 14 miles!

Day at the Riverbanks Zoo...

Do you ever feel like your in the zoo? Maol-Eown and Carver playing behind mesh! So beautiful today and the boys had the whole place to themselves!

The newest edition to the zoo is this little 10 month old Koala...she sat and munched eucalyptus leaves with her mommy close by the whole time.

The boys played in the fountain at the botanical gardens for an hour before we left on the trolley back to the zoo.

Just a Great Day with Dad...

Dad took us on an adventure walk down by the river, we learned about Sherman and his Army as they crossed the river. The bridge was burned down, and now all that remains are ramparts of southern history. We like the moss growing on the trees.

Maol and Dad at the Botanical Gardens. The flowers are just starting to bloom. The magnolia trees are opening up, and the Crocus are peering out from underground. Attached to the Riverbanks Zoo, we took a Tram across the river. So great that we can stroll around in the perfect 70 degree weather and it isn't even the middle of February yet.
