Just a Great Day with Dad...

Dad took us on an adventure walk down by the river, we learned about Sherman and his Army as they crossed the river. The bridge was burned down, and now all that remains are ramparts of southern history. We like the moss growing on the trees.

Maol and Dad at the Botanical Gardens. The flowers are just starting to bloom. The magnolia trees are opening up, and the Crocus are peering out from underground. Attached to the Riverbanks Zoo, we took a Tram across the river. So great that we can stroll around in the perfect 70 degree weather and it isn't even the middle of February yet.

Potty Training...???

The sprint to the bathroom...
Potty training has taken over our household, and we do many different things to try and keep the "liquids" contained.

Lot's of sitting in the laundry basket...sitting on the potty reading books...Towels come in handy...

Ongoing potty training sometimes means ya gotta sit in the sink until the deed is done. Good thing Maol has his own bathroom!

A day on the ranch...

Maol decided that his farm is his new favorite toy of the moment. We have all the farm implements and the tractors taking care of fields, while the cows are put out to pasture. If you can see the horse, you will just have to know that he is sleeping! Maol likes his horses to get their naps early in the day. He needs to have all his fences in the exact place, strategically placed so that the animals can get lots of water and they aren't to close to the roads. On Monday Maol will be loading up the cows to take up into the high country for the summer.

Merry Christmas!

Maol loves his new kitchen...makes many new dishes for us and likes to pretend that the fake food is really good!

Starting on his first stocking...Maol has two stockings that we fill, one is his hawaiian stocking, the other is his stocking fit for a Mallard! dad helped him take stuff out.

showing mom his pickles...

All the excitement just wore him out! Good thing his Penny made him a special trains blanket...to run his trains on of course!

Decorating the Christmas tree with dad. Even though we found that our box of special ornaments was missing (lost in the move)...we still had enough ornaments to decorate the tree! It's really made us glad to all be together this year at Christmas!Making Christmas cookies with mom. This was a large project for such a small kitchen, but we made enough cookies too send with dad to work, and send off to friends. This years favorite new cookie is the corn meal cookies. We made Hawaiian bread, gingersnaps, decorated sugar cookies, and cheddar crisps with our new cookie gun.
