A note from mom: I don't even remember you so small! You seemed so delicate and tiny then, and now you are big and strong. That little chin is your trademark though, even back then it was so cute! You were such a little monkey, and now your just a great little duck! Our little boy, you truly are the heart and soul of this family! Your Da and I love you greatly, and always will!

My dearest, sweetest, most loved MaolEown ...this picture brought back all those emotions I felt when I first got to hold you. I had looked forward to holding Riley's son since the first day I held Riley himself. When your Dad was born, my life changed in an instant...I loved him more than I could have ever imagined, and still do. Now I know that that love could become even stonger and more meaningful when my own son became a Dad...to you, MaolEown, the person he has been waiting all these years for. I love you because you're Riley's son, because you're my grandson, Paul and Madolyn's great-grandson, because you have brought a sweetness and gentleness to our world, because you're a beautiful little Hawaiian boy, because you have a smile so precious; too many reasons to tell you, but always know that my heart overflows with love for you...more each day.
